SIMON LA Breakfast Review - Dazzling Fine Dining for Breakfast

SIMON LA is one of the city's hottest restaurants in Los Angeles and their dazzling fine dining restaurant is again cooking up something special. Celebrity chef and chef partner Kerry Simon and his team take special care to hand select and prepare their daily specials made with fresh, seasonal, organic ingredients chosen from the local farmers market. They harmonize ingredients that will explode in your mouth leaving you feeling satisfied.

Our publisher, Lawrence Davis and I sat at one of their lovely tables nearby the chefs as they work as a team cooking fearless focusing on every meal they create. There something special when you can see how you’re food is prepared. We started with some tea and coffee--they provided Estevia (a natural sweetener) and rice milk for my coffee. Little things like this make me a happy customer. We had a light dinner the night before so our tummies were ready to be filled with Kerry’s carefully prepared menu dishes.

Him:  So fresh and so utterly fantastic!
Her: Luxuriously delectable! I’ve never had anything like it.

Her: Caviar and salmon is just a fine couple.

Her:  Good stuff.

Him: I can’t believe how delicious this is. This is just heaven!
Her: This meal is for a lumberjack.

Him: Next time I will try the one with the full egg and the chicken for more flavor
Her: I liked it but it did not compare to the rest

Him: Their all my favorite!
Her: The lemon mascarpone is my favorite!

I know we sound like two piggies, but we had small portions and made room for dessert. Please don’t judge—it’s our job and someone’s gotta do it. We took a little break and had more coffee and talked. SIMON LA has a wonderful setting in their dining room where we had a cozy, private table. Their dessert menu is fit for anyone who has a sweet tooth.

Her. MMMM this is another favorite!

Her: I’m not a chocolate lover, but this is very good.

Her:  Soooooooooo good! Another favorite!

Him: I don’t eat much carrots, but this I could eat.
Her:  Deliciously airy.

Him: This reminds me of my childhood, but ten times better!
Her:  Such a timeless dessert.

Raw Chocolate Parfait

Her:  I would have never guessed it was raw I wanted lot more of the raw walnut bread!

Our stomachs were quite full and we couldn’t take another bite. We couldn’t even try their amazing cheese platter of California cheese selection of Pepato, truffle tremor, shaft blue cheese, tulare cannonball, dry monterey jack. SIMON LA has a load of other tempting dishes like classic Simon selections such as Yellowtail Carpaccio laced with cilantro, mint and citrus vinaigrette; Bluefin Tuna Tartare spun with lemongrass oil and chives; Spit Roasted Organic Chicken served with a delicious funnel cup filled with Tuscan fries; and the tender 20 oz. Bone-In Ribeye Cowboy Steak. Simon LA prepares creates sophisticated comfort food that will tantalize your pallet. You’ll love the captivating décor and their knowledgeable, friendly servers.
