LASplash.com: Los Angeles Restaurant Reviews P.F. Chang's Restaurant Review - Giving Chinese Food A Grilled Flavor By Stephan Martin P.F. Chang's China Bistro greets you with the visual beauty it created within its walls and is matched by the flavors that have been created on its menu. Adding to its amazing assortment of flavorful dishes, P.F. Chang's has added a new twist to its already original and tasty menu with a group of new grilled items.
The just introduced Chinese Grill Menu offers some great new tastes. The Asian Marinated New York Strip is 12 ounces of mouth-watering perfectly grilled flavor that will give any steak house a run for its money. Costing only twenty dollars, this steak could be the best value you will find when compared to similar items at other restaurants. The other new items on the grill menu include: Citrus Soy Wild Salmon, a healthy choice that is a wild Alaskan line-caught salmon served with steamed rice. Lemongrass Prawns with Garlic Noodles and Chang’s Sichuan Chicken Flatbread round out the new menu.
P.F. Chang’s menu is one that offers a wide variety, not only in dishes, but also in taste. You will find yourself sharing dishes with others at your table or planning your next trip so you can try other dishes on the menu that you have yet to taste. If you are looking for something with a little kick and don’t mind breaking into a bit of a sweat, the Chengdu Spiced Lamb is for you. This marinated lamb is flavored with cumin and mint and gives you such a taste that you will savor one piece of meat at a time to fully enjoy its tenderness while allowing the spiciness kick your taste buds into full gear. If spicy dishes scare you a little, don’t be afraid of this one, just make sure you have a big glass of water and you'll be fine, this dish is a must-have.
A few of the other dishes that are at the top of the list to try are: the Mongolian Beef, a perfectly prepared meat that has a bit of a crisp texture on the outside, while still staying tender on the inside. The use of scallions and garlic in combination are the perfect finishing touch. The Kung Pao Shrimp, although on the spicy side, is not overwhelming, while the coating of the shrimp gives you a tasty, crispy texture. P.F. Chang’s offers you a wide variety on they're menu and will please you whether you like beef, chicken, seafood or vegetarian plates. If you are looking for a seafood dish, take a look at the Oolong Marinated Sea Bass as well as the Hot Fish dish, which is a few crispy slices of their fresh daily selection in a Sichuan sauce.
The perfect dish to go with whatever entrée you order is the Lo Mein. This thin noodle is grilled and then stir fried, giving it a robust flavor while keeping the noodle on the soft and delicate side. In addition, you can add beef, pork, chicken or shrimp to the Lo Mein or a combination of all four items, and it becomes a meal all by itself.
The other new entries to the P.F. Chang menu are “The Minis.” These are eight great smaller desserts, which for a mere two dollars apiece, allow you to take care of that sweet tooth while getting a great taste for the fraction of the price of a normal dessert. Some of the flavors offered include; Strawberry Cheesecake, Smore’s, Carrot Cake, Banana Split and a mini-version of the Great Wall of Chocolate, which is still offered in it’s normal, very large size.
Beyond the food, the enticing part of P.F. Chang’s is an atmosphere that caters to anything you are looking for. Whether it is a first-date, a family gathering, or if you're just looking to have a few appetizers or hang out at an amazing fun bar, they have you taken care of by a first-class staff that is not only timely, but clearly knows the menu and is right-on with recommendations.
The latest P.F. Chang’s restaurant recently opened at the Anaheim Garden Walk in California. This spot is near Disneyland and is a great spot for lunch or dinner regardless of the size of the party and it is a very family friendly restaurant. A big tip for this and other P.F. Chang’s locations: call in advance to make reservations. They do take walk ins, but with a restaurant this good, expect a wait. For more information on P.F. Chang’s and to find out where they are located throughout the United States, please visit: www.pfchangs.com To make reservations at the Anaheim location, call: (714) 507-2022
