Maria Elena Infantino will be performing a one woman show honoring the French singer Edith Piaf, celebrating the 50th anniversary of her death.  The performance will be at the Grammy Museum on the April 27th 2013, at 8pm. It will be a one night only special event with celebrities such as Doris Robertsand many more. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.

Also for the 50th anniversary of Piaf, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 there was a dedication ceremony for the Edith Piaf and Miles Davis Forever Stamp overseen by United States Postal Service Deputy Postmaster General Ronald A. Stroman. The dedication ceremony was held at 11:00 a.m. EDT at the Rubin Museum of Art, New York, NY. Grammy Award-winning composer Mike Stoller spoke about the French music legend Edith Piaf and her biggest selling single record, “L’Homme à la Moto” (“Black Denim Trousers and Motor-cycle Boots”), which he co-wrote as a member of the songwriting team of Leiber & Stoller. Bulgarian/Italian actress and singer Maria Elena Infantino performed a scene from a one-woman show titled “Edith Piaf,” about Piaf’s life journey. Carolyn Burke, who wrote the book, No Regrets, The Life of Edith Piaf, was an honored guest. Family members, artists, musicians and friends of jazz legend Miles Davis also attended and spoke at the historic stamp dedication ceremony on June 12th. The ceremony was open and free to the public.
