Three Faces Entertainment, Busby's East Mid-Wilshire Club, Helping America, and Club Sasci presented an evening of music and fun, celebrating the military with performances by singer /songwriters Hannah Brazil, Krystle Marie, Kaela Jonson-Smith, D9, Jaway Nyaforh, Harrell, Taylor Reynolds, and groups as Sick Calico, Crimson Curtains, Krystle Cervantes, and Simply Rose.
Paying tribute to our soldiers serving both stateside and aboard, US Marine Colonel Fulton T. Hopkins commented that "The Music industry has provided a tremendous amount of support to our troops and we are grateful to companies and individuals who support our soldiers. Music sustains them during times when they are away from their families and friends.
Hosted by jazz vocalist Rosemary Wilson, who sang Etta James ballad "At Last" to a standing crowd, the program opened with 12 year old singing sensation Kaela Jonson Smith belting out the anthem and was quickly followed up by the rap group Sick Calico and Hannah Brazil. Country singer songwriter Sheri Pedigo is currently working to save the wild horses, mixed that message in with her songs while Latin American singing sensation actor/model/singer Arturo aka Leandro gave us a taste of his new CD before he heads out to Vegas for some shows. Several of the singers had been on American Idol and The Voice.
Many gifts were given away at the raffles including jewelry from Monique Lopez, a passion party from Donna, a chocolate party with Rosie Beals, party lights from Vikki Downey, exotic shoes from Nenchantment by Darrelle Woo, and a jacket and scarf made of material from recycled bottles by Kika Paprika. In addition, weekend getaways and limo packages were given away.
Best voted artists of the night was Krystal Marie who received an extra $500 gift certificate.
