"The Rat Pack" is a Blast

"Direct from Vegas The Rat Pack." takes the audience to the mythic time of the early 1960's recreating the legendary era and experience of a "Rat Pack" show. The song titles alone evoke the performers of the era: "Luck Be a Lady." "The Lady is a Tramp," "Come fly With Me," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "Everybody Loves Somebody," "Ain't That A Kick in the Head," "That's Amore," "What Kind of Fool Am I?," "That Old Black Magic," "Me and My Shadow," and the finale, Sammy Davis, Jr's signature song, "Birth of the Blues".

Steve Apple truly has the voice and playfulness of Dean Martin, Gary Corsello is very believable as Frank Sinatra, and Lonnie Parlor has expertly taken on the mannerisms of Sammy Davis, Jr. All three performers have done an excellent job researching and embodying these legendary men. If you blur your eyes just a little it is easy to believe you've left the 21st century and traveled back to a nightclub in a casino in Vegas. The "Direct From Vegas, Orchestra" are up onstage with the "Rat Pack" joining in the high jinx of the evening and sounding fabulous. The lighting is incredible the stage is smokey like a club and the lights play patterns on the floor and stream in subtle and vibrant colors onto the stage.
