Ghost Town a must for Theatergoers!

Neither the title of this Theater production "Ghost Town" nor its setting, the desert, relates to the viewer the liveliness of this production or colorfulness of the characters. This is an original play by Emmy Award Nominee Dalene Young, mainly known for films such as "Cross Creek" which was nominated for 4 academy awards and "Baby Luv" which won three film festival best film awards. Dalene also boasts some thirty or so MOWs.

The play opened last week at the Hollywood Court Theater … an excellent Venue if you believe in ghosts! Theatergoers will be guaranteed a lively performance …. No chance to fall asleep at this one! "Ghost Town" is thoroughly well directed by Actor /Director Frank Doubleday. The acting by a cast whose combined credits includes hundreds of appearances in films, television and stage and includes, is exemplary. The cast includes Jacqueline Scott and Joe Stevens. I thoroughly enjoyed this production and at $15 a ticket you will not be disappointed.

"Ghost Town" is the story of three sisters clinging to the dreams of their youth. Sorrell is living with her desert rat mother,

Geraldine in their General Store / Beauty Parlor / Gas Station. Sister Ruth is an embittered but successful real estate agent in Brentwood. Sister Patty, lugging a suitcase and electric skillet, joins this accidental reunion, having just fled her husband and six perfect children. Everything that is buried in the desert will be dug up over the next 24 hours.

Regular performances are all the way through October 12th on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 pm, also a Sunday matinee at 3:00 pm. For ticket reservations you can call (323) 550-0000.
