If you’re a fan of Ford Motor Cars, or perhaps just an avid car show enthusiast, then the Fabulous Ford Forever car show was really the coolest place to be on Sunday April 27th, 2014.
FFF is the largest all-Ford car show in the West Coast and is held at one of Southern California’s most popular amusement parks, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. The FFF car show was presented by the Ford Motor Company and the Ford Car Clubs in the Western-US.
FFF is open to all Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles and features 55 show classes, discount park tickets, music, and celebrities. It’s an event that’s been around since April 13, 1986 by the Ford Car Club Council and Ford Motor Company and was brought to life by 23 year Ford Motor Company veteran Johnna Pepper.
So, if you didn’t get a chance to check out FFF, be sure to catch it next year 2015, you wont regret it. And even though the show was packed with thousands of Ford fans and car enthusiast, it wasn’t hard navigating through the crowds. Plenty of free parking across the street at Sears made the experience all the much better. I was able to enjoy the entire show without any probelm and check out some of the most coolest and rarest Ford cars and trucks in the world.
I was really impressed with the FFF presentation, they filled the Knott's Berry Farm parking lot gracefully with hundreds of fabulous custom and stock Ford models including the new 2015 Ford Mustang.
Another great moment for me was running into Fabulous Ford Forever Club member Eric Nelson, a 25 year old Ford enthusiast from Whittier, CA who was showing off his bright yellow Ford Focus ZX3. Nelson, said it took him nearly 10 years, part by part, to build his car into the tip top shape it is now.
Nelson commented that he was inspired by a group of friends that influenced him to purchase his first Ford Focus seven years ago and he’s been tricking out his ride ever since, he claims that the process has been expensive and addicting. Nelson belongs to several other car clubs and attends around 7 – 10 shows a year including the Fabulous Ford Forever show.
Nelson sports a pretty hefty ride, it's a 2004 Ford Focus ZX3 with a 2.3L FSWerks Stage 2 Turbo, Garrett 28/71R, 3 Inch Downpipe, 60lb Injectors, Cosworth Intake Manifold, FSWerks Oil Cooler Kit, Turbosmart e-Boost 2 and an AEM Wideband.
