Nested atop of the Kyoto Grand Hotel located in down town LA, Jadar Entertainment returned on June 7th, with their weekly Thursday Night Vibe event - a rich and relaxing evening of live soul, jazz and r'n'b. The talented Chante Moore and Mark Allen Felton wooed the crowd to their dancing feet throughout the evening, with DJ Shell jamming out some old school classics in between. Japanese landscaped gardens completed the setting with a gently babbling brook, waterfall and pond - a tranquil two tier rooftop oasis. With the sun setting and the light shimmering from the mirrored facades of the surrounding buildings, mountains in the background, a cool breeze, black bow tied waiters, a nicely stocked selection of alcoholic beverages and basic snack menu – it was a simply wonderful and complementary environment for such sweet sounds. Thursday Night Vibe attracts an older, more sophisticated crowd (average ages between 40-60) keen on their music, dancing, and taking in a smooth ambiance. It was a chilled and friendly vibe – couples, family groups and girlfriends out on the town.

The live entertainment kicked off with sensual saxophone sounds of Mark Allen Felton.

Mark Allen Felton

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Mark's musical journey began when he was aged 11. His ability with the saxophone won him many awards and since starting out he's shared the stage with an impressive range of great artists, and written hundreds of original songs and musical compositions. His performance at the Kyoto was both seductive and uplifting. He played with passion and his notes soared into the evening air, mesmerising the adoring audience. Mark and his saxophone mingled amongst the crowd at one point, which was a definite hit, particularly with the ladies.

As the night sky started to twinkle and DJ Shell played in the interval, you could sense the crowd warming up; a soundscape of beats, laughter, dancing and fun.

R'n'b and jazz singer Chante Moore took to the stage looking absolutely gorgeous – her smile and style lighting up the place.

Chante Moore

Born in San Francisco, California, Chante's love of singing was sparked growing up in the church. It was in high school that she decided to take her talents more seriously and this began her long and highly successful career. With a number of hit records, movie sound track credits, a Soul Train Music Awards win and separate nomination alongside the late Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey and a career filled with achievement, Chante is a woman at the top of her game, a perfect songstress and entertainer. She definitely turned up the heat with her stunning vocal range and repertoire.

Jadar Entertainment has been producing events and working with major artists both in LA and internationally since 2008. Their very first event was held at The Kyoto Grand Hotel (soon to become The Hilton Double Tree) where Thursday Night Vibe will continue for the next two Thursdays of this month – June 14th and 21st. If you're into funk, soul, r'n'b and jazz – get your money maker down town and see where the party is at! Tickets from $15. Doors open 6pm.
