The Super Bowl is one of the biggest days of the year when it comes to parties and get togethers and there seems to be more and more options every year. You can find any local watering hole to watch the game, but remember the Super Bowl is once a year, don't settle for anything less than spectacular on this Sunday. Check out a few hot spots in the Southern California area that will make this day memorable and we'll also give you a look at few items to make hosting the big game a little easier.

Pink Taco

Pink Taco is welcoming fans of both teams for the big game. They will be serving New England Chowder for Patriot fans and New York Hot Dogs for Giants fans, in addition to the menu.  To make sure you have take in the game in the best possible way, Pink Taco will have an eight foot projection screen in the dining room and 12 flat screen TVs (including a jumbo TV). Considering this is L.A. and the weekends have been breathtaking as of late, guests can watch the game on the outdoor patio, where there will be kegs of specialty beer. To make things even better, they will also have great beer specials, an outdoor grill, and half-time giveaways.

Rock & Reilly's

The Super Bowl is a great excuse to visit Rock & Reilly’s if you have not made your way over to this new Hollywood hotspot. Rock & Reilly's recently opened in November on the Sunset Strip, in the spot formerly known to be the house bar for Jim Morrison.  It’s the first ever bar in Los Angeles to carry over 55 different Irish Whiskeys and was an instant hit in Los Angeles. To make sure you don't miss a single tackle, the restaurant has 14 antique framed flat-screen LED TV’s, as well as an enormous 120” projection screen. Rock & Reilly's will be featuring some of their favorite items for Super Bowl, including Magner’s Irish Cider (they’re the only bar in LA that serves it!). If you want to get a feel for the restaurant while enjoying some perfect football food, order the "Ma's Pantry Platter." This sampler features; whiskey bingo wings, Reilly's stabbed chicken, wee burgers, mac & cheese balls and Hattie's pickles.

For those of you who can’t get enough bar food while you are taking in the big game, Prego Ristorante has a deal that will make sure you won’t have to worry about getting your fill. For $20 you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Chef’s bar bites to go along with two pints of Evans Beer on tap. Most game day venues $20 will get you two beers  and a single appetizer, if you are lucky maybe two. Prego is serious with this offer, you order up to three items at any single time and you can keep ordering as long as you can keep eating. The menu for this offer is perfect for watching football, you have nachos, taquitos, guacamole, salsa and chips, prego sliders, hand-battered onion rings, pregopizzetta, fried mozzarella and jalapeno cheese poppers, wings and prego chips. I would say bring on man versus food to take on that menu.

There is nothing wrong with making your way over to Malibu to enjoy the weekend, so hit the beach and enjoy the sun but as soon as kickoff starts head inside to the Malibu Inn. The favorite hangout in all of Malibu they are really doing it right on Super Bowl Sunday. All-you-can-eat for $35 and all you-can-drink also for $35. Try to pay attention to the game in between eating your ribs and burgers and throwing down cocktails. The Malibu Inn will have 16 flat screen televisions and one 6' by 10' projection screen to enjoy the game.

Always a great atmosphere for any sporting event, the Birch Street Bar & Grill in Brea will make sure you not only enjoy the game, but they have a lot of extras in store on this big day. They will be showing the game on twenty TVs including their spectacular 10 foot projector. They will have their normal gameday menu to go along with $4 pints of Dos Equis and they will also have giveaways during the game, including shirts, gift certificates and Laker tickets. Not a bad bonus for watching the Super Bowl.

To make hosting a Super Bowl party a little easier for you and so you can actually enjoy the game, QVC has a number of great items to assist you with your party. Right now they have a great deal on a package that includes 12 five-ounce Kansas City steaks to go with eight four-ounce burgers. Just throw them on the grill and you are ready to go. The other must have for any party is chicken wings and QVC has a package of four pounds of Rich Chicks gourmet breaded boneless wings. Those two should take care of almost any group. One of my favorite new snacks and if you have kids in attendance they will love these, are Funky Monkey Snacks. Clever name, but better tasting with great flavors like the Purple Funk, which is freeze-dried organic banana and organic acai. You might as well have one healthy thing to put in your body on this day. You will really love these, they are like eating a fruit chip, you get the crunch of a potato chip with fruit flavor. Finally my new guilty pleasure, Oogies' Gourmet Popcorn. Amazing flavors like white cheddar and smoked gouda and it is all-natural and gluten free for those of you who don't like glutes.

Whatever you do this Sunday to celebrate the biggest game of the year, make sure you make it a memorable event. Whether you are rooting for the Giants or the Patriots this is one day it really doesn't matter, it is all about the party so take it all in and be safe!
