Stacey Jackson’s Album Launch Review
May 1, 2013-British based Canadian-American singer Stacey Jackson, performed at the trendy Hollywood Bardot Club last night to promote the launch of her new album LIVE IT UP. The album features collaboration with hip hop icon Snoop Dogg and will be officially released in June 2013. The launch party was presented by Beyond The Rack and was part of Hollywood’s BritWeek 2013 festivities. Proceeds benefited the Breast Cancer Charities of America.
Celebrity guests included Pirates of the Caribbean actor Isaac C. Singleton, Violent Blue film producer Clinton H. Wallace, musician Alestar Digby, Napoleon Dynamite actor Carlos Ramirez, Barracuda film director Christy Oldham, Road House 2 actress Ellen Hollman and Coyote Ugly actress Izabella Miko.
Jackson is a Canadian born singer who currently lives in Great Britain with her husband and four children. She is a down to earth, stay at home mom with a big heart who was a back up singer for most of her singing career until recently. “Everything happened to me after I turned 40”, Jackson said. She began her career in public relations for CBS News, LifeTime Television and even played a significant role in the launching of BBC America. During this time, she continued her singing career with various bands including her Motown tribute band Fuzzy Dice. Not until recently did she consider cutting her own record. To date, Jackson’s career has seen the release of one album and three independent singles. Jackson’s debut album UPSIDE DOWN, a collection of remixed Motown covers, was released in October 2009 and all profits benefit the charity Music For Youth. Her debut single, I Am A Woman, was released in 2011. Look for LIVE IT UP in June 2013.
