No matter what stage you are in the entertainment industry - just started out or a seasoned pro-- you're going to want to join the PGA (Producers Guild of America) at their fifth annual conference. Held at 20th Century Fox, June 8 and 9th, attendees will hear speakers from all areas of showbiz teaching about current and evolving trends in production, distribution, finance, marketing, branding and media strategy. It's the only one to bring together the top producers and collaborators in film, television and new media to provide all the information vital to the success of your current and future projects.
Starting with a light breakfast on Saturday morning, sessions include specific topics like "Real Deal- Producers who direct and Directors who Produce" by the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, "Building Franchises through Transmedia", "New Facts on Domestic and International Production Incentives", "That State of Film Financing," "Producing for Digital Distribution," "Selling Non-Fiction Television," "Video Games as a Franchise Lunching," "Understanding Producer Share Participations," "Cross Over Talent" "From Script to Screen With Abode," and "Developing and Packaging Films in the Brave New World," as well as conversations with J.J.Abrams, Tom Cruise, Mark Burnett, and Jerry Bruckheimer.
Besides the great sessions, which are often standing room only, Produced By offers mentoring round tables where you get unique opportunities to talk in small groups of ten with someone established in their field.
