Dedicated to the benefit Wounded WarriorLove Ride has grown into the largest one-day motorcycle fundraising event in the world. After a successful 32 years, the official last Love Ride took place recently at the beautiful Castaic Lake!

Benefiting Wounded Warrior, a charity organization that offers programs and services for wounded veterans of the military, this year Love Ride was one for the books as Social Distortion and Foo Fighters came together to close out the historical event!

Organized by 750 volunteers, Love Ride provided the central hub for bikers and attendees of all ages to come together. Founder of Love Ride, Mr. Oliver Shokouh, stated: “It’s been my honor to serve these causes for decades. And I’m eternally grateful for the outpouring of support that so many gave this year as we ride off into the sunset with over $1,000,000 raised for Wounded Warrior Project and a total legacy of over $25,000,000 for charities to date. Lives are changed because of your attendance and participation over these years and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Social Distortion and Foo Fighters brought together the rock community and played a stellar set that catered to the crowd. Although Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl, recently broke his foot, (at a show in June in Sweden), this did not slow down their pace. They still played a very energetic set filled with plenty of 'f-bombs' and hilarity! In all honesty, did you expect anything else from them?!

The venue was packed as everyone hung on to each and every word of the Foo Fighters as they watched along the picturesque backdrop of the lake. "It's not over yet, and I hope that we can do this again sometime. I'd hate to see it end, but I'm glad everybody is here today", shared Grohl. "I don't believe that sh*t. It's like that old saying 'we are gonna get the band back together'. Well, (Oliver) when you're ready to get the band back together let me know," he exclaimed as they closed with a top favorite, 'Everlong'.

Throughout the years over $1,000,000 in charitable funds was raised to help veterans in need through the Wounded Warrior Project. It was a great way to spend a Sunday! From the charity, the people, and even the community that was built throughout this journey, I sure do hope it comes back.
