House of Guvera Review - Opens It's Flagship Location in Downtown Los Angeles

Downtown Los Angeles has been known for its artistic, edgy, underground scene. Adding fuel to the fire is House of Guvera, a space that is created by a small group of core music fanatics, opening it's doors in downtown LA in the arts district.

Opening it's first location in downtown Los Angeles, the space will soon be opening in Melbourne, Australia and a few other locations across the globe. the venue creates a space for artists, musicians, and brand partners and will host events throughout the year to combine individuals and brand partners from around the world.

"It's exciting to open our flagship venue in one of the coolest emerging art scenes in the world, downtown Los Angeles. Next for House of Guvera is the screening of our first short film in Vietnam, beginning work with two new directors to film our first music documentaries in Panama and Russia and the opening of our new House of Guvera venues in Bombay, India and Melbourne, Australia," said Guvera's founder, Claes Loberg.

The industry insider launch party last Thursday night featured performances by:  Best Coast, along with LA-based Froth, as well as singer / songwriter Ariel Pink. Guests were also able to enjoy beverages and addicting bites by In 'N' Out. Special guests included Garrett Stevenson from Trash Talk, Jennifer Humphrey, designer and founder of Trois/Agogoblog, Phil Hoelting, director of FYF Fest, AJ English of Coming, Benjamin Plant of Miami Horror, Shannon Kelley of Vice Media, Cydney Morris of Stone Cold Fox, Jessica Curie of Private Party and more.

"There is a cool feeling of it coming together today, a feeling of pride and relief," states Jake Denney, content director, House of Guvera. "It's the fact that this is happening to see everyone come out to support us in one place is the most exciting part of tonight."

House of Guvera creates original content including backstage interviews with musicians like Angus & Julia Stone, Talib Kweli and Wolfmother. The content is created by a small core group of music lovers, then dispersed to Guvera’s global subscriber base of 11 million music fans, exposing new music to new fans and territories.
