The Katselas Theatre Company presents the Rogue Machine Theatre production of  “Dirty Filthy Love Story” by Rob Mersola. This dark yet charming love story that quickly takes a turn for the worst is filled with laughter and heartfelt moments.

In this play, Ashley Floerchinger’s (Jennifer Pollono) husband left her years ago leaving her to develop a severe hoarding problem. She is emotionally unstable and in desperate need of love and understanding. Her nosy neighbor, Benny Steets (Burl Moseley) doesn’t see that and often comes over unannounced causing even more chaos in her life when he forces her to face her hoarding issues so he can sell his house. To her surprise she unexpectedly finds love through the madness of her depression with Halbert Shint (Joshua Bitton) who was hired by Benny to clean up and put an end to Ashley’s hoarding lifestyle.

The entire stage is put to good use with several surprises of creativity to make this comical but also tragic story come to life. All the characters have extremely different but hysterical personalities that will keep you entertained for the entire show. The lighting, music and especially actors were all very well done in that everything had a smooth transition into one another which made this amusing story a joy to follow. The play was also beautifully directed by Elina de Santos (an award-winning director).
