The Digital Hollywood Los Angeles, in conjunction with the Variety Entertainment and Technology Summit took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in the Marina Del Rey from October 20-23, 2014.

This tech conference was more geared towards Advertising and Advertising Companies than anything to do with Hollywood, entertainment, the film industry, film making and glamour! Besides the ritzy setting of the blue splashed pool, palm trees and the Marina; this tech conference was sedate, dull and full of tech nerds throwing out words such as content, data, ad space, etc. The seminars and panels looked too tedious and boring to sit through.

There were  panels and discussions about ”Native Advertising and Digital Advertising”, “Content Owners”, “Ad Networks”, “Video across platforms”, “Advertising Analytics and Contextual Media, “Branded Media Marketing” and basically dozens of topics I could not understand.

Later in the early evening, there was a reception outside with a free, open bar of white and red wine, champagne, beer, soft drinks and water. Nuts and chips were the snacks offered.

The setting was beautiful each day at dusk with the sunset, palm trees, azure colored pool and being at the fgorgeous Ritz Carlton Hotel. This was an opportunity to mingle and network with Speakers, Company Owners and other Tech people.

If you are a tech nerd and into advertising this is a perfect conference for you!
