Amra Silajdzic Interview - A Role Model For Dedicated Young Women Everywhere

Driven, humble, and vibrant, Amra Silajdzic found her life’s calling as a model/actress, and as a mother to her eight-year old daughter, Sofia. She trained strenuously and competed from a young age in Track and Field and Taekwondo, where she earned several titles. These experiences have given her the toughness needed in show business, and also helped her develop a solid work ethic which she carries with her to each photo shoot.

Amra’s modeling career started in 2000, in her home country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she was both crowned the Metropolitan Top Model and won the Press Prize (an international competition in China) at age 15. This two wins launched her international career; Amra was able to move to Paris to pursue her childhood dream of living and working in the fashion capital of the world. In 2010, Amra decided to embark on another journey and moved to Los Angeles to solidify her acting career. In only a few short months, she appeared in many billboards, commercials, hit TV shows, and music videos.

By traveling around the world, Amra was introduced to many fascinating people, places, and stories that helped shape the person she is today, and shaped her passion to help the less fortunate, especially those in her home country. In 2011, she became the first ambassador for Bosana Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the livelihoods and access to education for the marginalized population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so they can also become self-reliant citizens of their country.
