If your idea of cozy night at home is to cruise the old reruns for a dose of warm and fuzzy nostalgia television, then tune in to the TVLand Awards on March 17, 2004 and see some of your old favorites as they appear today when they collect their audience-voted appreciation awards.

Brad Garrett, star of the current hit comedy "Everybody Loves Raymond" hosts this two hour television event which features so many stars from classic television it's enough to make your head spin with memories of episodes gone by.  Over 70 film and television stars appear, including among many, the cast of "The Andy Griffith Show" which featured Andy Griffith and Don Knotts accepting their show's "Legend" award and the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" cast featuring Mary

Tyler Moore who accepted their award for "Groundbreaking" television series.   Other highlights of the show include the cast from  "Gilligan's Island" accepting the "Pop Culture Phenomenon, the three Catwomen who made television's steamiest villain (Earth Kitt, Julie Newmar and Lee Meriweather) and Liza Minnelli presenting the award for "Classic of the Future" to the cast of "Arrested Development".  You will see clips, remember classic television moments and see stars that will bring laughter (Be Arthur mugging ala Carrie in a Sex In the City spoof) and tears (a touching tribute to John Ritter who hosted the inaugural version of these very awards in 2003).  


The opening dance number is a fun, frolicking, kick-off featuring TV theme songs sung by members of the original casts.  All your favorites are here from
The Beverly Hillbillies to the Courtship of Eddie's Father". Even Tony Orlando and Dawn are featured with their signature tune, "Tie A Yellow Ribbon" from their variety show from the seventies.  And if you really want to know just what those lyrics were, check out the TVLAND website at where you can play your favorite themes at your leisure. And you won't want to miss the debut of the "Coleman CAM", behind the scenes footage provided by the little camera strapped to Gary Coleman's head. 

Not to ruin any of the suspense, tune in as the presenters remove the award recipient's names from their TV "dinner" envelopes.  You'll see "Most Cantankerous Couple", "Most Break-Out Star",  "The Bossiest Boss,""Favorite Dual Role", and "Favorite Fashion Plate Female".
