Event Review: Minotti Store Party

(Mar. 25, 2004)  Beverly Boulevard near Robertson is known for being THE area for top notch furniture stores in Los Angeles.  MINOTTI ranks among the best, and so it was no wonder they threw a dynamite, Hollywood style shindig, celebrating..... well, NeoCon West for one (the convention currently in town that showcases the best in design, commercial interiors and more; more info at http://www.merchandisemart.com/neoconwest/overview.html ).
Actress Samantha Mathis and singer/musician Fabrice Morvan (of Milli Vanilli fame) were among the attractive attendees who packed the store, maneuvering around sleek chairs, couches and tables to enjoy Ago-catered food (salmon bites, riceballs, etc.) and two bars with lines longer than Willie Nelson's wrinkles.  The giftbags given upon departure were also impressive (items such as CD's, a creditcard wallet, and something I know my female friends will soon be begging me for: a free eyebrow tweeze at Fred Segal).
Bravo, Minotti, for a soiree well done.  And don't forget to check out the other stores on the "Avenues of Art & Design", West Hollywood's epicenter for art and design -- over 250 businesses, including Jules Seltzer, Smed, Artemide, Diva, Minotti, Linea, Poliform, Modern Living, and Doma, as well as 40+ high-end art galleries.  Visit www.avenuesartdesign.com for more information. See www.minotti.com/prodotto/index.htm for Minotti's fine line of products (and when you visit their ample-sized West Hollywood location -- on Beverly Blvd between Robertson and Doheny -- don't forget to view the art as well; celeb mugshots always have a way of lightening and brightening any mood).
