EVENT REVIEW: LA Young Pro Cinco De Mayo Charity Gala

(April 30, 2004: Los Angeles, CA)  The historic Gilmore Adobe abode was home to a most unique Cinco de Mayo event this year, back by popular demand: the eighth annual Cinco De Mayo Charity celebration, put on by the LA Young Professionals group as a benefit for Para Los Niños.

The lush oasis of the Adobe lies hidden next to a new landmark, The Grove

The 2004 edition of the Celebration took place at one of Los Angeles' most extraordinary landmarks, the Gilmore Adobe (old and historic, true, yet located right next to one of LA's most vibrant new shopping centers, The Grove).

The Gilmore Adobe historic home offered an ideal idyllic setting

In addition to informal tours of the Adobe, the festive evening included cocktails and hors d'oeuvres (multiple Mexican buffets), live music, and a silent auction. The soiree was a great success, attracting hundreds of guests and raising tens of thousands for a very worthy cause.  Guests in attendance included celebrities, civic leaders, elected officials, prominent business representatives -- as well as many youthful, fun-loving LA singles (most of whom no doubt came thanks to the efforts of the event co-sponsor, LA Young Pro).  All in all, a wonderful time was had by all.
