LASplash.com: Los Angeles Entertainment A Night of Paris in Hollywood By Sparkle Soojian "82-92" is the new Thursday night music scene for Hollywood hot spot, "El Centro." And what better way to kick off a night of killer 80's beats than to throw a birthday party for a celebrity so hot she's practically copyrighted the word "hot"? On February 17th, heiress Paris Hilton turned 24 in style as she partied it up to the Cure, the Clash, and a little bit of Paula.
Pink balloons, pink roses and even pink martinis decorated the hottest club at the corner of Santa Monica and El Centro Avenue. On a petal of every pink rose there was a special message written for Paris, and on a petal of every white rose was a picture of her and her Chihuahua, Tinkerbell. The atmosphere was set for a pleased Paris, who strolled in the club around 12:00 pm. All dolled up in baby pinks and blues Paris was surprised by one of her girlfriend's who presented her with a hot pink throw purse that had a picture of her and Tinkerbell on it. Paris along with some of her closest friend sipped on Bombay Sapphire martinis that were donned Tinkerbellini, Princess martini, and of course a special Hotini. In between drinks and opening presents, Paris danced the night away with male and female pals. Each dance floor was filled as one recognizable hit after another jazzed the mostly twenty-something crowd.
An event presented by Jack Osbourne and Melissa Rivers, the evening continually spun rock jams provided by DJ Morty Coyle. An event like this wouldn't be complete without Paris's star studded entourage. By her side was her sister Nikki along with actress Elisha Cubert and actors Kevin Connolly and Adrian Grenier from the HBO hit "Entourage." Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz rocked out to the beats that were hot before his time and later, accompanied Paris when she departed.
Among the attendees was a producer who was looking for future prospects to be on a new reality TV show for the WB. She was searching for young women who like to party. Lucky for her most of the club was filled with ladies. Groups of girls lounged around, even sitting on each others laps as they laughed and toasted. But once they took charge of the dance floor they revealed their wild side as it was definitely a ladies night out. As one of Paris's friends shouted loud enough to earn the attention of crowd, "Girls just wanna have fun!"
But the fun doesn't stop there. Club promoter Ryan Cook explained that the tone of the evening is what he plans to see every Thursday night at El Centro. As Paris continues her month long birthday celebration (as she has been known in the past to drag her birthday out for days), El Centro will continue its upbeat nights. Even though Paris's celebration at may have passed, the El Centro Thursday night parties have just begun.
