Hollywood events are more conscious in creating a special time for the guests through awareness and fun when mixing art, music, food and other fabulous highlights; but when you can also find a bigger purpose than just another great event to go to, it becomes a bigger night for many others, especially for those in need.
On the evening of Wednesday, December 5th, eclectic conscious attendees enjoyed The Conscience Cocktails’ Holiday Mixer benefitting The Seany Foundation. Guests mingled at the luxurious Daniel Maltzman Gallery in Beverly Hills for an evening of socializing while creating awareness for this important cause.
The Seany Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to funding research to help find cures for pediatric cancers while improving the quality of life for children, teens, and young adults battling cancer. Every day, 35 children and teens are diagnosed with cancer, 7 will die and 17 of the 28 survivors will suffer devastating life-long side effects. The foundation it’s working to ensure that research programs are devoted to rare childhood cancers to get the funding they desperately need.
Mitch Robins, father of Sean Lewis Robins, spoke to the audience about his son’s fight with Ewing Sarcoma ( ES-a rare bone cancer ) and how The Seany Foundation was founded in memory of their son. Sean fought Ewing Sarcoma for nearly 7 years, until his death in 2006; he was 22.
It was a very special night with a clear understanding of how important is to get involved and support our future finding cures at an early stage of cancer. My favorite moment of the night was when a video was playing showing pictures and footage of Sean Lewis along with other children suffering from the same cause. Their faces expressed joy, hope and dreams. I’m an artist, so I understand how important creativity is during healing process from any cause. I was inspired to come on board and help out however I can. I want to make a difference while creating through my passions, so starting next year I will be part of someone’s healing progress by sharing my passion for the arts with The Seany Foundation Family. This foundation is responsible for the light of this children’s dreams by showing them fun times while getting treated. Thanks to Sean Lewis' goals, many children and young adults are enjoying fun creative activities during intense care.
Guests had the chance to enter the raffle with fabulous prizes such as a Randy Kirk Original Artwork valued at $4,000 benefitting 100% The Seany Foundation.
Open bar sponsored by Akvinta Vodka, Dirty Tequila, IZZE and Aro Pistachios along with food stations sponsored by Hollywood Pasta Company. Music sets by DJ Frackture and included live musical performances by cancer survivor Urbalist, and up and coming sensation Ruby Summer.
