Deborah Hayter, one of the group's organizers, stated we all must give back.  "We can all make a statement….change the lives of everyone we touch…. and bring attention to causes that are often ignored and we all can give back to our community. Our lives touch people. Those lives touch others. Each one of the awardees tonight exemplifies giving back and each one has done so in different ways."
