QART.COM Gallery Grand Opening - Benefiting the Stan Lee Foundation

QART.COM, the online fine art gallery and auction site, celebrated the opening of their first physical showroom with an event benefiting the Stan Lee Foundation on December 14th. Numerous artists were also on hand such as Ara Berberyan, Marta Wiley who was drawing watercolor portraits of guests, Martin Katon was in the back of the gallery painting incredible wildlife pictures, and artist Alexander Chen was signing his posters for guests to take home.

Situated on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Via Marina, the new 7,500 sq ft showroom features artwork from their online gallery, including works from independent artists and photographers, as well as famous artists such as Peter Max, Tom Everhart and Wyland. In addition, the Marina del Rey location has several added bonuses, including a dark room with glow-in-the-dark art from artists Jean Claude Novaro, Ken Shotwell and Ara Berberyan.

Leading up to the event, Marvel Artworks limited-edition artist proofs (custom-framed and signed by Stan Lee), were up for auction on QART.COM’s website – all proceeds benefiting the Stan Lee Foundation.  Numerous pieces were also on display during the event, allowing guests the opportunity to bid on their phones before the auction closed opening night.

QART.COM, founded in 2006 by brothers Eli and Noah Weisman, has quickly become the largest online marketplace for fine art on the internet, and now with their new location in Marina del Rey, the public has an opportunity to view the art up close and personal. “It was only a matter of time before we opened a physical location,” states Eli. “Anyone can purchase art on our website at a set sale price, or place a bid in our auction section. But with our new location, the public has an opportunity to see some of the works in person.”

“Whether you’re an art collector or new to the art world, we have something for everyone,” states Noah. “We carry thousands of unique pieces, as well as entire editions, and even have daily auctions online starting at just $1. Our upcoming grand opening event will highlight some of our unique works, while we roundup our Marvel Artworks auction for the Stan Lee Foundation, and introduce our gallery to the community.”
