Project Angel Food & Glee Project Winners

It was a glorious evening under the stars when Project Angel Food proudly presented their Angel Awards to Lisa Lillien, star of Hungry Girl on The Food Network; and Dante Di Loreto, Executive Producer of the hit TV series, Glee and The Glee Project.  More than 400 guests dined al fresco on a sumptuous meal prepared by Project Angel Food volunteers and chefs, featuring produce from their community gardens.

Jennifer Love Hewitt at Project Angel Food

Among those feasting on Brochettes of Chicken, and Baby Summer Squash were gorgeous Jennifer Love Hewitt, dressed appropriately in summer white.  The curveous cutie is very excited about returning to TV, starring and producing Lifetime’s new original one-hour series, The Client List.  Also strutting up the red carpet was ageless Jessica Lange, who will be appearing in Di Loreto’s new series, American Horror Story, “a frightening, sexual thriller’ which will debut on FX in October.

But the real thrill of the evening was the performance of several of the remaining contestants from Oxygen’s The Glee Project.  Their special appearance marked a milestone in Glee history, as the final performance before the winner was crowned the next day.  And guess what – they were ALL WINNERS!

Adorable NCIS star Pauley Perrette presented the award to the Hungry Girl herself, Lisa Lillen, who gave us all a copy of her new cookbook – 200 Recipes under 200 Calorie; and debonair E.R. star, Anthony Edwards was on hand to class up the joint!

The best news is that monies were raised that evening to provide more than 70,000 meals to men, women and children affected by AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
