“Going for Blue” Gala to Benefit Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015

A night of inspiring stories lies ahead when Roar Sports hosts the Venue Blue Gala on Saturday, October 18 from 5-10pm in Newport Coast, Calif. Taking the “White Party” theme in a different direction, guests will be dressed in different shades of BLUE to support the World Games’ celebration of courage, determination and joy of Special Olympics athletes.

If anyone knows how to compete in life it is Justin Hirshfeld. A chef who became paralyzed from a near fatal motorcycle accident, Jason’s spirit and talent inspired an entire Colorado town to fundraise for his special needs, providing an incredible amount of support for him to not only recover, but to move forward and realize his dreams.  Now a thriving popular five-star wheelchair chef, Justin will travel to Newport to prepare 300 desserts for the entertainment VIP guests.  “I look forward to participating in this wonderful event and I challenge Southern California to ‘Go Blue’ and support the Special Olympics World Games,” said Justin.

No blue collared event, this unique Venue Blue Gala hosted by Roar Sports, a Los Angeles- based entertainment company & Todd WorldWide Foundation, an Irvine based 501(c)(3) will delight goodwill and glamour as musicians and entertainers perform live onstage as the Entertainment VIPs mingle and enjoy the televised ‘jam session’.

In addition to Justin’s blue-ribbon creations, Mozambique Steakhouse in Laguna Beach will donate South African faire. Other highlights include specialty drink bars and unique Silent Auction donations in the theme of “Things That Money Can Not Buy.”  Going for Blue is going viral as Celebrities, Sponsors and Vendors (with more than 100 Volunteers and still counting) jump on board pro bono, giving of themselves through time, resources, equipment and staff in support of this global media campaign designed to maximize the Special Olympics World Games fundraising efforts!  Moved by such giving, the producers of the event are filming a behind the scenes series’ showcasing Hollywood’s flip-side, in effect the ‘Sweet Side to the Entertainment Industry’. Melinda Woolf, Venue Blue Host and partner of Roar Sports states, “I’m blown away by people’s willingness and eagerness to contribute. We get responses like, ‘Of course, anything for the Special Olympics,’ and ‘Count me in, whatever you need.’ There are so many personal stories from people who have family members and friends with special needs, one of our core team members has a special needs son who has been to the hospital over a dozen times this month alone, yet he still continues to work tirelessly to make calls asking people to contribute to this cause. This is the real deal, people are really showing up and ‘walking their talk’.”

Brand Ambassadors and Partnerships include: Aldamisa Entertainment, Virgin Produced, Daily Motion, Black Magic, Go Pro, SportXast and Absolute Live (to name a few).  In addition to the broadcast, VenueBlue.tv will provide an online donate function and digital silent auction so that anyone, anywhere in the world, can experience and participate in this once in a blue moon opportunity… Watching entertainment VIP’s jam the night away, and bid on exclusive, unique, silent auction VIP experiences… The minimum asking donation from True Blue Fans is only $10. “Prepare to experience something extraordinary. Although we all wear blue, we will be truly colorful as our guests represent every walk of life. The best part is that all of our sports, entertainment, music and fashion colleagues are all coming together to support this ONE important cause. If you cannot attend, please watch the broadcast and participate online,” adds Paige Apar, Venue Blue Host.  www.venueblue.tv

If this blueprint of inspiration has struck your fancy, Venue Blue is still open for and accepting contributions and sponsorships including featured Ad space within the broadcast between the live event jam, celebrity shout outs and the behind the scenes showcases.  As Justin would say, “No excuses, go for Blue!” and take this incredible opportunity to be involved in this exquisite blue-plate special serving up a global audience reach in support of a GREAT cause.
