CBS’s “Unforgettable” to be honored at the 20th Anniversary Alzheimer’s Association “A Night at Sardi’s”

The event will bring together leaders in business and entertainment who are committed to advancing the Alzheimer’s Association mission

CBS’s “Unforgettable,” will receive the Abe Burrows Entertainment Award at the 20th Anniversary Alzheimer’s Association “A Night At Sardi’s fundraiser for its inclusion of an Alzheimer’s story arc that raises awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and is a reminder of how prevalent Alzheimer’s disease is in society. 

With as many as 5.4 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and nearly 15 million people serving as caregivers, the entertainment community is coming together for the 20th year to raise funds to support Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs.  The star-studded event will feature appearances and performances by some of television, film and Broadway’s hottest talent including Kristen Bell, Gilles Marini, the cast of The Big Bang Theory, Taye Diggs, Kevin McKidd, Peter Gallagher, David Hyde Pierce, Wayne Brady, Lamorne Morris, Sean Hayes, Beth Behrs, Josh Radnor, Alfre Woodard, Marilu Henner, Jon Lovitz, Alfred Molina, Joey McIntyre, Mayim Bialik and Steven Weber. The talented cast will cover songs from some of Broadway’s most beloved musicals including “Hair,” Spamalot,” “Guys and Dolls” and more!  The event will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wednesday, March 21, with the “purple carpet” beginning at 6:00 pm.

The event will also honor Susan Disney Lord with the Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver of the Year Award. She was a caregiver for her mother, Patricia Disney who recently died from Alzheimer’s at the age of 77. Disney Lord is a philanthropist, advocate, and active member of the Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter Board of Directors.

Laurie Burrows Grad and Peter Grad have co-chaired this annual event for 20-years in honor of Laurie’s father, the late Tony and Pulitzer-winning playwright and director Abe Burrows.  As a result of their leadership and passion for the cause the event has contributed more than $19 million to critical Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs.
