The 6th Annual Charity Ultimate Wine Festival Review - Tastings for a Terrific Cause

The 6th Annual Charity Ultimate Wine Festival provided many options for tastebuds to try.  Wines from all over took over 3 levels of the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach.  The event took place on April 19th from 5PM until 9PM.

Each person was given a wine glass upon entrance

The Shade Hotel is one of the finest hotels in the area of Manhattan Beach.  Offering a variety of amazing amenities, it was a wonderful place for the Ultimate Wine Festival to be held.  The aura of the courtyard, bar area and patio gave off a very refreshing vibe.

It was nice to have a variety of levels to visit to continue the journey through wine country.  A poolside view overlooking Manhattan Beach was a nice way to enjoy your favorite glass of wine.

For the VIP guests that arrived one hour prior to the rest of the attendees, a seafood buffet was offered.  Crab legs, fresh jumbo shrimp and oysters were all a part of the buffet.  Many appetizers also grazed through the crowds, which accompanied the wines quite nicely.

Three other areas provided different cheeses, meats, pastas and a few different salads.  It was a nice addition to the evening to be able to sip the wines with a variety of food to see how the combination tasted.

Inside the elegant bar area is where the silent auction was held.  Many items included wines, getaways to wine tastings and weekends, exercise packages, memorabilia and much more.

DJ KC Campbell, of VOXDJ’s, carried music throughout the room during the event.  A great variety of music was played, including some dancing tunes which brought many to the dance floor to let loose a bit.

The event was held mainly to benefit the Manhattan Beach Middle School.  Each and every year, the donations have increased and have helped the school out immensely.  There was even some entertainment provided by the Middle School itself at the tasting event.

The Manhattan Beach Middle School band flooded the courtyard with amazing music and a wonderful presentation.  The donations that were received have been put to allocating more funds directly to programs in the school that they see fit.
