Today, as the honoree, Sally Kellerman sat with her husband producer Jonathan Krane.  Mr. Krane's new movie, The Father of Invention, stars Kevin Spacey and is due out late this year or early next.  Also on the dias was comedian Lili Tomlin of the "ring a ding-ding" fame from Laugh In.

Joining her was Brenda Vaccaro, Robert Forster, Fred Cort, Dyan Canon, Hal David, Stanley Dorfman, writer producer Hal Kanger and disc jockey Helen Borger.   The award was presented by current president, Chuck Southcott.

Besides being an accomplished actress - whom many of us known from the movie M*A*S*H as Maj. "Hot Lips" Houlihan, Sally is also an established singer and has a new record out from Verve Records. The new album, entitled SALLY, is enjoying great success having been released earlier this year.

Born in Long Beach, California, Sally attended Hollywood High School where she was bitten by the acting bug. She continued her studies at Los Angeles City College and at the Actors Studio in Los Angeles.  Some of her famous classmates included Shirley Knight, Jack Nicholson, Robert Towne, Robert Blake, James Colburn and Roger Corman.

With numerous theatre, film and television credits, Sally has, with each performance, perfected her craft even more.  She began her television career by appearing on the Outer Limits and in the pilot episode of Star Trek.  In all they are too numerous to name. Sally also did a fair amount of voice over work for such clients are Hidden Valley Salad Dressing and Milky Way.

Her passion for the arts not only included acting but music, as well.  A first rate jazz and blues-tinged vocalist, Sally has a natural style that makes each song her own.   Music Connection Magazine dubbed her "A class act."
She contributes her time and energy to various causes including Jewish Family Services, AIDS Reserach and the environment.
