Ink 'n' Undies Suicide Girls Charity Event - Sirens of Compassion

(Los Angeles, CA) August 14, 2010 - Missy Suicide and the SuicideGirls took their killer bodies to the runway at the Ecco nightclub in Hollywood, seductively dressed in lingerie provided by seven 'til Midnight and their distinctive sensual body tattoo's for a charitable event that attracted a packed house.

Teaming with the nonprofit organization UnderShare to raise funds and awareness for displaced women and children, these sirens of alternative beauty held the audience captive with their alluring dance moves and ultra-sexy attire.

We seldom think of the essential needs of displaced individuals beyond that of food and shelter.  Personal hygiene and clothing are equally as important to those dealing with difficult circumstances in living their daily lives.

Sexy for a good cause

All eyes on me

In a follow up with Helen Huang, founder of UnderShare, she provided the following statement: “ UnderShare is 100% volunteer-based, located in Los Angeles. We donate new underwear, socks, diapers, and bras to those in need via community partners, including Sojourn Services, the Downtown Women's Center, Step Up on Second, and the USC Violence Intervention Program. In the past, we have donated new diapers and underwear to such charities as The Salvation Army, the Weingart Center, Project SISTER, the LA Mission, and the Walter Hoving Home for Women.”

UnderShare was founded in 1995. I had hoped to make the world a better place and was looking for a way to benefit those in need," reflects Ms. Huang. "When I learned that the National Guard Armory would rather collect new underwear and socks for the homeless clients they served than collect canned food, blankets, jackets or sleeping bags, I decided I would do collection drives for new socks and underwear. As my voluntarism grew, so did my volunteer base, and we developed Officers, a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board, and annual events that increased our ability to educate the community about the need for new underwear donations."

The event, Ink 'n' Undies, so graciously promoted by Missy Suicide and the SuicideGirls in order to benefit UnderShare and our ability to serve those in need, was instrumental to expanding UnderShare's reach towards new donors, volunteers, and sponsors. Hosted by Paget Brewster and promoted by celebrities such as Pauly Shore, Kristanna Loken and DB Sweeney, this was a well supported and very successful fundraiser. The music, provided by DJ Benjamin Walker, was high-energy and the volunteer team that put together the event was passionate and dedicated. It was a spectacular event that ultimately will allow us to provide brand new undergarments to hundreds of people who are facing extremely challenging circumstances.

SuicideGirls: Reagan, Rambo, & Founder, Missy Suicide

I spoke with Missy and two of the SuicideGirls, Reagan and Rambo who were performing in the lingerie fashion show.  These seductresses of “alternative beauty” as they refer to themselves, are a multifarious group with compassionate hearts that came together on this eve to aide in a good cause.  For additional information on UnderShare and how you can contribute click here.
