Flavors of Los Angeles supporting The American Liver Foundation

Last Wednesday at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, Sophie Gayot helped kick off the 2nd annual Flavors of Los Angeles event.  Participating chefs picked their table numbers and intrigued all that were in attendance with the secrecy of their planned menus for Sunday’s June 1 event to benefit the American Liver Foundation. Flavors of L.A. features chefs from some of  L.A.’s top restaurants including Café del Rey, Jer-ne’, All Angelo, 3 on Fourth, Violet and Salt Creek Grille to name a few.  Each chef will prepare a five-course meal with wine pairings at your table.

“Flavors L.A. is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a one-of-kind experience with some of L.A.’s finest Chefs and support our life saving mission. Through the support of these events, The American Liver Foundation has been able to help those touched by liver disease and award research grants totaling 20 million since 1979. As we continue to create awareness of the over 100 liver diseases we are able to provide hope to more than 600,000 Californians touched by hepatitis C alone, and many more residents in the five-county area touched by one of over 100 liver diseases,” said Michael Hausknost, Board President, ALF Los Angeles Chapter.  “I strongly encourage anyone with a taste for fine food and wine to join us for this year’s Flavors L.A. fundraiser. I promise it will be an evening you will not soon forget.”
