Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation celebrated a day to remember Sunday, June 12, when nearly 2,000 revelers attended the TARGET A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival.  Held under picture-perfect sunny skies on the grounds of Brentwood's Wadsworth Theater, the event raised $1.4 million.  Thanks to the generosity and longtime support of event underwriter Target, 100 percent of every dollar raised from the event will benefit the Foundation's lifesaving programs around the world.

Brendan Fraser gets comfortable with a book. Matthew Perry stretches his pitching arm.

A soaked Dave Navarro cools off after a dip in the dunk tank. Man overboard! Jimmy Kimmel peers out of the water after he's downed by a guest.

Guests rode the 50-foot TARGET Ferris Wheel, soared high above on the swings, and sampled the delectable goodies provided by some of Southern California's hottest restaurants' making sure to save room for the WONKAmobile's assortment of mouthwatering candy.  Celebrity heroes added to the fun at the carnival booths and activity tents.  Melissa Joan Hart, Paula Abdul, and Joey McIntyre sang along at the Disney Princess Karaoke Lounge while George Lucas was a force to be reckoned with at the Cranium game booth. Jeff Probst scaled the TARGET Climbing Wall, Dominic Monaghan zoomed off in the Trikke Challenge, and "Extra"'s Dayna Davon helped to paint parasols that added a kaleidoscope of color to the grounds.

George Lucas puts his Jedi skills to work at the Cranium tent. Michelle Branch lends her voice for a good cause.

Dominic Monaghan gets “Lost” on a three-wheeled trikke ride. At the Disney Princess Karaoke Lounge, a young girl has the best backup singers in Melissa Joan Hart and Paula Abdul.

There was something to see at every turn.  Tim Meadows posed with the Power Rangers, Brooke Burke helped kids make one-of-a-kind soap, and Matthew Perry stretched his throwing arm at the Bushel Toss. Brendan Fraser read books under the TARGET Storytelling Tree, Daisy Fuentes and Jamie Lynn Spears struck a pose with tiaras and feather boas at the Girl Mania Fashion Show, and Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman went for some laughs (and some dunks) in the TARGET Dunk Tank after Dave Navarro took a dip. Lacey Chabert, who helmed the My Hero booth, was excited to help out.  "The work that the Foundation does, not only to better the lives of kids with pediatric AIDS but also to eradicate the disease, is just phenomenal," she said.

Alyson Hannigan strikes a pose with Clifford the Big Red Dog. Survivor" host Jeff Probst and former contestants Julie Berry and Ian Rosenberger hang around the climbing wall.

Jake Glaser thanks the crowd from the main stage. Randy Jackson, emcee of the event, chills with one of his "dawgs"—the Target Bullseye one!—on the red carpet.

As the day's emcee, 'American Idol' host Randy Jackson introduced special musical guests Nuttin' but Stringz, JammX Kids, Valli Girls, Lalaine, The Shore, McCall Clark, and a seven-months-pregnant Michelle Branch, who rounded out the day with a rousing musical performance.  "I think this is a great, great cause," Jackson said of the Foundation.  "There's not enough you can do for kids and families." He shared the main stage with the TARGET's mascot dog, Bullseye, and the Foundation's family of extraordinary kids, including Elizabeth Glaser's son, Jake, who said, 'Walking around today, I know my mom would be so proud and happy.'

Mark your calendars:  Join them in Los Angeles on June 11, 2006 for next year's carnival!
