Los Angeles County’s foster youth, foster parents, foster care staff, mentors and everyone who is committed to helping care for these special children were treated to a day of fun and entertainment on Sunday at Dodger Stadium.
Everyone was treated to a great pre-game event that included breakfast, giveaways, games, face painting, lots of Dodger gear and a chance to mingle with some positive role models. There were a number of great celebrities on hand the entire day including Mel B, basketball player "The Professor," Dustin Milligan, starring in the upcoming film "Extract," Senator Curren D Price, Michael Copon and many more.
The event was sponsored by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Children Uniting Nations, United Care Inc., LA County Dept. of Children & Family Services (DCFS), LA County Probation, and numerous community members throughout the county and was put together with the help of It Girl Public Relations.
"The hope is that special bonds will be formed, public awareness will be raised regarding the plight of foster children, and participating volunteers will want to become involved by becoming mentors to the amazing children they have met," President/CEO of IT Girl PR Juliette Harris said.
Every group involved did a fabulous job making sure all of these special children had a day that they will remember for years to come.
