Bigelow Apothecary Presents Bid on a jar; wish on a Star - Celebrities Team up for Make a Wish

Think' beauty, but with a cause.  C.O. Bigelow and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are teaming up to make this a reality by hosting an online auction to raise money to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

'Bid on a jar; Wish on a star' is the medium through which celebrity fans of C.O. Bigelow have donated signed, customized versions of the company's iconic apothecary jars. Each jar is packed to the brim with that celebrity's favorite C.O. Bigelow bath and body products. The collection of jars will be auctioned off on eBay during the month of December, and all proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A roster of Hollywood celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Owen Wilson, Susan Sarandon, Liv Tyler and Star Jones have filled their favorites into these collectable jars. Sarah Jessica Parker stuffed hers with C.O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip Shine, Soothing Lip Buffer, Superb Body Lotion and Dr. Keightley Mouthwash Concentrate.
So where'd the brilliant idea of fusing beauty products into a cause for aid come from?  Earlier this year, C.O. Bigelow introduced a line of personal care products that took the beauty world by storm' amassing instant devotees, generating lengthy waiting lists and swiftly earning cult status.  In keeping with its tradition of healing and enrichment, this holiday season, C. O. Bigelow decided to use their influential clientele and media presence to become committed to providing care and comfort, not only for its customers, but also for children in need.

The online auction of C.O. Bigelow apothecary jars for the 'Bid on a jar; Wish on a star' promotion runs from December 15th December 22nd, 2005, and can be found on
Since 1838, C.O.
