Each year, The Henry Mancini Institute (HMI) offers a citywide Free Summer Music Festival, with concerts performed by participants in the HMI Summer Music Education Program, an elite scholarship-funded four-week intensive training program for emerging music professionals.  At the summer's end, the culmination of the Education Program and the FSMF is the Mancini Musicale where the Hank Award is presented to an individual who has shown distinguished service to American music.  Past honorees include Burt Bacharach, Phil Ramone, Pete Rugolo, Quincy Jones and Clint Eastwood.

BRUNOMAGLI Through the Years

Arthur Beren, a proud supporter of the great work HMI does, is donating 10% of proceeds not just from the event, but from the entire week's sales, to the organization.  'We're overjoyed to be supporting the great Mr. Mancini's legacy in this way,' said Mr. Beren, 'and it's just great to be able to help the community.  We're entering our second year here in Los Angeles, and know what a critical role the arts play in the city.'

Purveyor of fine footwear and accessories for more than 50 Years, Arthur Beren added the Beverly Hills location to cater to shoppers outside of the reach of its venerated San Francisco flagship and Palo Alto stores.  Renowned for carrying a wider selection of styles and sizes than neighboring department stores, Arthur Beren is a favorite of those who expect old world service from their luxury shoe-buying experience.

It is for this reason that in November 2004, BRUNOMAGLI chose Arthur Beren Beverly Hills to launch its first "Shop-in-Shop" concept store in North America to offer an extensive and exclusive footwear and accessories assortment.  BRUNOMAGLI has again paired with Arthur Beren for another North American debut - their archive collection.  First unveiled in Milan during February's Fashion Week, the archive includes styles dating back to the 1960s along with famous photographs and editorials of BRUNOMAGLI product that graced the pages of Vogue at that time - all by renowned photographers such as Franco Rubartelli, Aldin and Krasti.

'Classic shoes, vintage sound, and a party for a great cause'   What more could you ask for?' said HMI's Board President Ginny Mancini, who will announce the Summer Season lineup, including the ninth Annual Hank Award recipient, at the event.  'We're thrilled to be associated with these two luxury brands, and are so grateful for their help in making this the best HMI Summer Season yet!'
