ACE at the Playboy Mansion

American Charity Events holds benefit for Special Olympics Southern California at the Playboy Mansion.



The evening featured a live auction lead by Master of Ceremonies Robin Leach and silent auctions, live music, athletes and celebrity guests, and tours led by bunnies of the Mansion grounds. Guests dined and danced as they bid on vacations, motorcycles, sports and movie memorabilia, and other items. Chef Rocco DiSpirito, who starred in NBC's reality show The Restaurant, was the host of the VIP garden party.



Guests toured the Mansion ground and bid on the silent auction. Enjoying live music from Shinichi As they drank cocktails and savored passed hors d'ouevres of  chicken satay, dungenese crab bouchee, applewood scented tenderloin of lamb, crispy rock shrimp wonton, as well as brochette "capresse" mozzarella basil and sundried tomato.



They then enjoyed dinner whose menu consisted of grilled tenderloin of beef, miso glazed salmon, lemon grass steamed black mussels, capellini pasta frittata, heirloom beet, asparagus and cipolini brochette. With a pastry buffet of summer desserts, assorted petite pastries, hand rolled chocolate truffles, macaroons, chocolate dipped strawberries and hearth baked cookies.

After dinner there was a Special Olympics presentation, a live auction, and comedic performances. After which they danced the night away to the sounds of the Lovemakers and relaxed in the grotto. The die-hard partiers continued on to the Shelter Supper Club where they enjoyed VIP treatment.

American Charity Events, the host of the benefit, was founded by young professionals with a passion for raising money for charity. By holding high-profile events, ACE garners attention and raises funds for the charities they feel are in the greatest need. ACE is currently in talks with other charities for additional events at the Playboy mansion, a concert at Alcatraz Island, and a golf tournament at the exclusive Black Hawk Country Club.

The mission of Special Olympics Southern California is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities [mental retardation], giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
