Positive results have been displayed as a result of using mindfulness meditation.  Ideally, individuals can gain many positive effects including the following:  lowered anxiety, increase in students’ ability to create more positive thinking, fewer negative emotions, greater focus in work, as well as greater self-control, enhanced learning, and improvement in overall well-being.  As you determine your own values be aware that you must list them from least to most important.  Your goals must be aligned with your highest values and as a result this will lead to the highest probability of action.

Using mindfulness helps to assist in this process by meditating through deep breaths and erect body posture to develop deep thought and insight.  By practicing mindfulness meditation, you will be better equipped to have your mind focus on the here and now as well as refrain from making judgments or evaluations on issues of self-esteem or the actions of others.  This process can keep you centered so that you can move forward in determining your own values, achieving your goals that are attainable and living the life you deserve.
