Frederik and Frida (RRP $49.99 each) - Jersey is 100% organic cotton. Frida and Frederik are more than just adorable cuddle toys.  They will also give your children hours of amusement and joy - dressing them and putting them to bed in their cot or sleeping bag.  Changes of clothes and accessories may also be purchased separately.

Beanpatch & Co., LLC is the new exclusive U.S. importer of select top European toy brands and baby products, including Franck & Fischer, Baghera and Lillelam.  The Franck & Fischer products range in price from $12.99 - $49.99 and are now available on leading toy retail websites, including: Diapers.com, leoleno.com and Yoyo.com.

A fan of Scandinavian design, Beanpatch & Co. founder Dana Michels Gabrielsen says, “After moving to Norway with my husband, I noticed that there was such a wonderful selection of infant, baby and toddler items that were nowhere to be found in the U.S.  I contacted a couple of my favorite lines and discussed bringing them here, and that was the inception of Beanpatch & Co.”

Franck & Fischer’s unique organic toys are already making waves in the U.S. market.  One of this Danish company’s toys was recently featured in Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine.  CelebrityBabyScoop.com also spotted David Schwimmer pushing his one-year-old daughter Cleo sporting a Franck & Fischer sensory “Dog” book tied to her stroller.

Dana adds, “At Beanpatch & Co. our business is our personal passion – to bring beautifully designed, well made, practical infant and baby products to our customers. The search started with what we wanted to provide to our own children.  Every product we import is personally selected to ensure that it is safe, high quality, well designed and fun. We only import the brands and gear that we use in our house for our family.”

Franck & Fischer is Danish design at its finest. Franck & Fisher offers unique design, pure style and high quality. Each product is carefully manufactured with careful attention to detail, to ensure that functionality and high play value go hand in hand with an appealing design. Franck & Fischer produces organically whenever possible.

Lillelam is a Norwegian company specializing in children’s clothing—from newborns to 10 years old.

Baghera is a French company that has been creating pedal cars, retro style, since 1999.

Because the products are imported from Europe, the price tag might be slightly higher than other more known brands.  But Dana believes that people are willing to pay a little more for the high quality, unique products she imports.  For example, many of Franck & Fischer’s products are organic and handmade.  As people are cutting back on vacations and big-ticket costs due to the economy, they are looking for smaller, yet high quality items for their kids.

Beanpatch & Co. will be have a presence with their toys and children’s products at the upcoming Atlanta International Gift Market in July and ABC Kids Expo in Louisville, Kentucky in October.

About Beanpatch & Co., LLC

Beanpatch & Co. founder Dana Michels Gabrielsen started her career as a media and entertainment lawyer with a serious case of wanderlust.  After a couple years of practice it was time for a change, and she moved to Sydney, Australia.  She managed to infiltrate a Scandinavian harbor cruise party one night where she met a Norwegian guy who became her husband. They lived in Sydney for a while until they decided it was time to move on….to Norway. Within a year of moving there, Dana and Henning were married and expecting their first child. And so began another love affair – with Scandinavian design!  While preparing for her daughter’s arrival, Dana fell in love with the beautiful, high quality baby items that were readily available in Norway. The Scandinavian emphasis on design and functionality produces unique and adorable baby items.  When she moved home to Los Angeles, she was disappointed to discover that many of those baby items were not available in the U.S.  Out of her personal quest to find only the best things for her children, she started Beanpatch & Co., so that she could bring these wonderful items to other families.  Dana lives in Los Angeles with her husband Henning and their little ones, Jasper and Helena.
