
This one is a classic. If you're looking for information. This is the book. It gives everything from a breakdown of each trimester, prenatal care, birth, and taking care of a newborn. Its an excellent introduction and in-depth look into pregnancy.

This is a great fun pregnancy book that is like getting advice from a friend. Its got the information but presents it in a "girlfriend" kind of way that is light, honest, and humorous.

If the mommy is interested in breastfeeding this book will be an excellent resource. It shares all the different scenarios and concerns mother's face when breastfeeding.

This was my first baby book and was great to read along each week what I was going through when I was going through it. It is written by an OB-GYN and tells you what you can expect each week, what's happening with your body, and you baby.
5.Fathering Right from the Start: Straight Talk About Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond by Jack Heinowitz
For the dads out there that want to be as helpful as possible (and perhaps thrown out of rooms a lot less), this is an excellent book written for the father. It addresses what the father experiences and helps him take on an active role from the start.
