Enjoy the Best Views of the Dec. 9 Manhattan Beach Fireworks -- and a Five-course Gourmet Dinner
Even before you get your Thanksgiving feast under your belt, you may want to think about calling The Strand House to reserve a seat for its special five-course Holiday Fireworks Dinner on Sunday, December 9 -- and dial yourself in for a prime view of Manhattan Beach’s annual fireworks extravaganza.
In addition to enjoying a sublime view of the Holiday Fireworks by the pier, Executive Creative Chef Neal Fraser and Executive Chef Greg Hozinsky have created a decadent five-course feast to welcome the winter holidays.
“Our annual Holiday Fireworks is such a wonderful tradition in Manhattan Beach and with our stunning vantage point and floor-to-ceiling windows here, at the foot of the Manhattan Beach Pier, we thought we would kick the celebration up a notch -- and match the view of the fireworks with a stellar culinary display of our own,” said Owner Michael Zislis.
Guests will enjoy an amusé of Ricotta and Sweet Potato Fritter, followed by their second-course choice of Sunchocke Veloute with herb crouton, Vegetables a la Grecque, or Smoked Whitefish Napoleon with herbed crème fraiche.
Hand-cut Tagliatelle with mushroom ragout will lead off the third-course, followed by guests’ choice of Duo of Beef (prime tenderloin and braised short rib), John Dory, Pan-roasted Jidori Chicken Breast, or BBQ Tofu.
Dessert choices include Crispy Waffle with salted maple ice cream and stewed apples, Chocolate “Crunch” flourless chocolate cake, or an Ice Cream Trio of pumpkin pie, pistachio and stracciatella gelato, followed by choice of press coffee or herbal tea and a petit four.
The cost of the dinner is $95 per person, excluding beverages not listed, taxes and gratuity. Seating is limited and advance reservations are required.
