A Delicious Day of BBQ and Music : Sixty Pit Masters From Around the Country Compete for Tastebuds and The Title of “People’s Choice”
The Queen Mary’s Waterfront Events Park is pleased to present The 2nd Annual West Coast BBQ Classic, an official California-State-Certified, KCBS - Sanctioned BBQ Family Friendly Championship sponsored by the famous gentleman’s drink Jack Daniel’s. This spirited ONE DAY event had a record turnout last year and will certainly not disappoint in festivities this year. The leading TOP BBQ Pit Masters from around the country have gathered to compete for thousands of dollars in prize money and the opportunity to be selected as the winner of the coveted “People’s Choice” award. Only one Pit Master will reign as the 2013 Champion and receive the coveted award for being “All Sauced Up”. “We have nearly tripled our competitors this year” said Director of Special Events Steve Sheldon, “Our team registration sold out in record pace. We are thrilled to offer such a vast field of teams this year.”
Held at the Queen Mary Waterfront Events Park, the event features live bands by local musical favorites like Knyght Ryder, The Record Company and The Shoemaker Brothers. Get your food and drinks at the lively Jack Daniel’s Back Yard Bar and the Merchant Market. The kids will love the Kid’s Country including an incredible obstacle course. Adults get to have fun too with the popular Adult Lawn Games area that includes a giant beer pong.
