The 6th Annual Luckyrice LA Festival Review - Delicious Asian-Inspired Cuisine

Featuring the best Asian inspired dishes and drinks to compliment is the Luckyrice LA Feast! Now in its 6th year since its origination and it's 4th year in LA, the California Summer feast featured many imaginative dishes paired perfectly with exotic Asian-inpired Bombay Sapphire East cocktails.

Held at Create Nightclub in Hollywood the festival, presented by Bombay Sapphire East Gin, features the Asian food landscape and definitely gives your palate a nice change. Involved in the fete are many of the countries most renowned chefs and culinary personalities as well as social media influencers, mixologists, and more.

“We are excited to bring the Feast to Los Angeles and San Francisco, which is home to every conceivable type of Asian cuisine and culture, from creative Pacific-rim dining to street food,” said LUCKYRICE Founder, Danielle Chang. “With California’s large Asian population, brilliant dining culture and proximity to Asia, Asian food is everyday grub.”

Also participating in the feast was Ryan Wainwright, winner of the Los Angeles Most Imaginative Bartender Competition, which was held recently at Sassafras in Hollywood! Mixing up something new for this particular event Wainwright sure knows how to get the crowd involved with the perfect cocktail!

"I must say this was a really great event and I had a lot of fun making some seriously good drinks (in the) beautiful blue tucked away bar" Wainwright stated. "It was such a cool crowd and I received a lot of positive feedback (plus) it was great to see all those faces I know from around the LA bar scene - I don't think there was ever a low moment!"

Wainwright created his take on a 'Rosehip and Gyokuro' beverage, a balanced cooler style drink with a 'rich and delicious punch', and as he explains "a wonderful Japanese Green Tea". Wainwright created an approachable yet interesting mixture for this particular event which effortlessly complimented and highlighted the overall cocktail.

“This is BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin's 6th year of sponsoring LUCKYRICE, and it's exciting to see how much it has grown and evolved in such a short time," said Ned Duggan, VP, Managing Director for BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin. "As we've expanded into new cities from our base in New York, it's been fascinating to taste how each region expresses its own culinary style. The level of sophistication that the bartenders employ when creating new and innovative BOMBAY SAPPHIRE East cocktails each year is a testament to the rise of craft cocktail culture across the country.”
