5th Annual An Evening On The Beach - August 7, 2014 - A Food and Wine Soiree

The evening of Thursday, August 7, 2014, will see the 5th Annual "An Evening On The Beach" soiree at Santa Monica’s Jonathan Club to support Los Angeles area Meals On Wheels. Hosted by Wolfgang Puck, this exciting event brings together some of L.A.’s most noted chefs, restaurateurs, and fine California winemakers. The event was born out of Wolfgang Puck’s long running American Wine and Food Festival, and continues his long-standing relationship with St.Vincent’s Meals On Wheels.

With Audi as its major sponsor, guests will roam the beach area with or without shoes, and enjoy delicious foods grilled by some of L.A.’s most celebrated chefs and restaurants. Participants include Patina, Angelina Osteria, Wexler’s Deli, Loteria Grill, Superba Food & Bread, Osteria Mozza, Michael’s Restaurant, Craft, Bestia, Bucato, Salt’s Cure, Republique, and more. Gourmet cheese presentations will be offered as well.

Noted mixologist Marcos Tello will serve specialty cocktails designed just for the event. A martini bar, hosted by bartending expert Jordan Catapano, will feature Petrossian caviar stuffed olives, Chopin Vodka, and No. 209 Gin. In addition, there will be a number of specialty wines on hand from Jordan Vineyards & Winery, Melville Vineyards, Robert Craig Winery, Thorne Vineyards, W & J Graham Port, and many others.

Additional sponsors of the event include Accenture, FreshPoint of Southern California, 100.3 The Sound, Badiot and Evian waters, Gloria Ferrer Vineyards, The Hospitality Collective, Impact Productions, Premiere Meats, Southern California Gas Company, Verterra Dinnerware, Wine Spectator magazine, and Clear Channel Outdoor.

A limited number of tickets are still available at $160 each, and more information can be found at the organization’s website: eveningonthebeach

In 2013, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels delivered 1.2 million nutritious meals to homebound seniors and other vulnerable residents across Los Angeles, regardless of ethnicity, disability, and religious preference. Proceeds from this evening will benefit the organization.
