Yria Boutique Hotel & Spa - A micrography of an island village in Paros

Yria Boutique Hotel & Spa is a micrography of Parikia in Paros. When it was built, the owners wanted us to feel that we are in a small island town, in the town of the island. How beautiful and at the same time how intriguing this is!

Its position, right at the centre of Parasporos bay, near the main village, surrounded by palm trees, vineyards, lilies and every other flower that you can imagine, sets Yria Boutique Hotel & Spa one of the most charming Greek getaway for your summer, no matter where you come from.

Our bungalow was big enough for two people, to even enjoy their privacy. A living room, a bedroom with our own private garden and a spacious bathroom were our home for the next few days in Paros. Something I personally appreciated a lot, was the rooms' sound system that I could remotely use and play any song or put my favourite radio stations from my own phone. Books, a fruit basket and a sweet welcome note waited for us when we arrived.

I must admit, the service at Yria was impeccable. Everyone was smiley and very happy to assist and cater our every need. While we had our drinks at the Selini hotel pool bar - which means moon in Greek - we had the chance to enjoy one of the most amazing sunsets on the island. Pink, peachy orange, shades of blue and rays of yellow took over our view and left us mesmerised. That was the best time to shoot some photographs and we did take advantage of that.

The next day after we came back from a day excursion in Antiparos, we decided to try out the hotel’s own sea view restaurant, Nefeli. That proved to be an excellent decision. Nefeli is located right next to the Yria Island Boutique Hotel & Spa pool, and offered us a mouthwatering dining experience at this beautiful idyllic place. We indulged into a mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine with Paros island local specialities. Salads, soups, pastas and Yria special dishes, teamed with expertly selected fine wines to perfectly complement each dish.

At the hotel, we also had the opportunity to experience the Astir Spa. That was an absolute bliss. A spacious wooden deck links the purifying steam room, refreshing rain shower, and calming treatment rooms. The plunge pool with Jacuzzi, finished in calming midnight blue tiles, just waited for us to sink into it and carried our stress away.

An oasis of glorious island serenity awaits you at the Yria Island Boutique Hotel & Spa in Paros, so start planning your escape today. While in Paros, do not to forget to visit apart from Parikia, the next town called Naousa, which is even more captivating. Stroll around the town, smell the sea-salt, grab a tasteful bite at Kapari Aegean Cusine and do your shopping form the beautiful store Gorgo La Meduse. Don't forget to taste the local herbs and see the handmade ceramics produced there. Paros awaits for you ... and keep in mind, you might see Whoopi Goldberg and John Bon Jovi while walking around the island. We did!
