Cheval Knightsbridge Review - Vacation or Staycation, it’s the Perfect Location

In visiting the legendary city of London, there’s much to partake in, from morning til night. The Cheval Knightsbridge is the ultimate home away from home...a luxury accommodation that is both a destination in itself and a resting place during your glorious days and night in this legendary land.

Whether traveling for business or pleasure, in-the-know visitors have learned the secret to an incredible London experience: the Cheval Knightsbridge is absolutely the go-to destination for a luxury stay in an extremely convenient, elite location.

The Cheval Residences collection includes apartments, townhouses, mews houses, and city cottages, all of which give you the comfort and freedom of your own home, combined with the service you’d expect from any five star accommodation. In a variety of London neighbourhoods, each of the Cheval Residences has its own style and character, making your home-away-from-home a unique, personalized experience.

I had the pleasure of staying in one of Cheval’s luxurious, two bedroom Residences in Knightsbridge; the master bedroom is spacious and impeccably designed, and another bedroom with twin beds and en suite bathroom is the perfect place for guests or relatives. The bed is wondrous, with a down comforter and pillows that felt worth the stay on their own...I found myself wishing there was nothing else to do in London but stay in bed at the Cheval for the day.

The bathroom, too, is a delight, with pampering items including shampoo, bath and shower foam, moisturizer and soaps by Feel Good Formulas, along with a huge bathtub and shower. The ensuite bathroom has a spacious shower, and both have those luxurious British towel warmers...always a comfy, cozy touch.

The living space is both spacious and indicative of Cheval Residencesfine attention to detail; from your feet landing on textured chenille, velvet and silk rugs to the avant-garde inspired Gaggenau appliances and Italian Dada kitchens, it serves to ignite your senses and relax you, at the same time.

Cheval Knightsbridge offers a living room with a comfortable sofa, with a large television screen, ultra-chic magazines and decor, as well as a desk area

There is full kitchen, with stove, huge refrigerator, large sink, in addition to ample dishes and utensils. A separate, chic dining area borders the kitchen, with comfortable, spacious booth that could easily seat 6-8 people. All of this makes it possible to offset costs by eating in, and also affords a cozy comfortable place to call your own.

The Cheval Knightsbridge also features a fine list of amenities, including a 24-hour Concierge who is available to book restaurants and theatre tickets, taxis or other transportation, and take care of laundry and other needs.

Your stay includes weekly housekeeping, free wifi, vita audio-visual, blue ray DVD players, a luxury welcome hamper, weekly linen and towel change, Samsung Smart TV & Satellite Channels, private balconies, air-conditioning, and CCTV and video entry phones. All apartments are non-smoking.

During your stay at the Cheval Knightsbridge, there’s complimentary gym access at the elite Aquila Fitness nearby.

The Cheval Knightsbridge is walking distance from Harrod’s, along with its extremely popular Food Court, and it’s just around the corner from the historic Victoria & Albert Museum. The V&A is notably the most happening museum in London, and possibly in the world: the current Alexander McQueen “Savage Beauty” show is sold out months in advance, except for a small block of tickets released each day, and crowds flock regularly to see exhibits and collections of key modern interest. It is walking distance from two tube stops, connecting you to theatre in the West End, the Southbank of the Thames for the London Eye and other magnficent attractions, and the legendary Big Ben and Westminster Abbey and all that surrounds them.

With a Cheval Knightsbridge Residence, you can explore this famed neighborhood at your leisure -- it’s one of the world’s most interesting, spectacular districts. And visiting London isn’t just for visitors. Staycations are gaining in popularity, and for good reasons. New research from Vouchercom shows that 83% of Brits are planning to opt for a holiday in their home city this summer, and London is the second most popular staycation destination.

When you live and work in one of the greatest cities on earth, there often isn’t time to fully explore the wonder of your own terrain. London has more to offer than any of the destinations Londoners can travel to -- so why not get away and enjoy the city you call home? Chances are good that you’ll find gems worth visiting again and again, long after the holiday is over.

In addition to the Knightsbridge location, Cheval Residences offers Cheval Gloucester Park, Cheval Thorney Court, Cheval Knightsbridge, Cheval Calico House, Cheval Harrington Court, Cheval Hyde Park Gate, Cheval Phoenix House and Cheval Three Quays. Each of the eight residence locations is unique in style, yet all share the same fine levels of service and upscale atmosphere rarely enjoyed outside the world’s finest hotels.

Whether you’re in London for a visit or simply taking time out to enjoy your own city, Cheval Residences is the ultimate choice in a luxury home away from home, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Who says you can’t have it all?
