When you are planning your trip to Thailand, definitely plan to take some time in the tranquil tropical islands of the south, or get into eco-adventurous such as elephant trekking, hiking or white water rafting up in the mystical North around Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. But the unofficial national pastime of Thailand is shopping and you won’t find it much better than in the capitol Bangkok. This city is known for it’s world-class shopping malls and was voted #1 most visited city in the world by Martercard. At up at the top of the list for shopping malls is Terminal 21, one of the most recent and creative shopping centers to open in this amazing city.
There are nine floors, each its own designated city with distinctive landmarks. In the lower level is a gourmet grocery store, fast food section and book stores. then up to the first level Rome with replica statues from the ancient city and a baroque ceiling painting. Then Paris, Tokyo, London, Istanbul, and San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge spanning the open center and at the very top Hollywood complete with a 3 story tall Oscar and luxury theaters. You can reserve seats over the phone.
Fashion is naturally a big draw for shoppers and Terminal 21 has 500 Urbanista shops.
With all the shopping you'll probably work up a thirst for a natural beverage or cocktail before having a bite to eat. Terminal 21 has everything from simple and casual in the International food court to fine dining. There is also a first-class fitness centre on the top level.
Terminal 21 is centrally located in the very heart of Bangkok where the Skytrain, Underground Metro and Sukhumvit Road all meet.
