The Sheraton Jerusalem Plaza is located in the heart of Jerusalem on the edge of a quiet restful park. Situated on a hill, its 300 guest rooms including suites, non-smoking units, “smart” rooms and plentiful parking space, offer a beautiful view of the city from every direction. We were very impressed with the views of the Old City, the Hechal Shlomo Synagogue, or the busy shopping area of Old City Jerusalem, (the busy shopping and eating areas of Jerusalem today).

It was easy to reach most of the sites as they were walking distance, including the Kotel, the Old City and the modern shopping areas of Jerusalem.

Mr. Kadosh hosted the world class Kosher Chefs dinner prepared by world famous chefs from places that include; Italy, France, England and the United States. Although many chefs were famous for their own dishes made with non kosher products, Shalom Kadosh achieved the impossible of getting all the chefs to prepare their dishes according to Glatt kosher rules for this special dinner.

While at the
Jerusalem Plaza, we ate at the recently refurbished "Primavera" restaurant. Along with a new enticing menu, all of Jerusalem's "who's & who's" gather there. The restaurant owes its popularity to the fact that it is Glatt Kosher and offers high quality gourmet cuisine.

Amongst those frequenting the restaurant are Jerusalem's mayor, Mr. Uri Lapoliansky and his deputy, members of the Knesset, members of Jerusalem's City Council and other leading figures from the Arts including Haim Topol.
The restaurant's motto is "One who arrives to "Primavera" is treated like a king and receives personal, pampering attention from the moment he arrives until the minute he leaves." There is great attention given to celebrations such as anniversaries, birthdays and special surprises like the playing of someone's favorite song.

Chemi Gur, the hotel's General Manager says that the restaurant's atmosphere, style and music change weekly, from light opera to a Latin beat. My. Gur adds that the restaurant's success is not only due to the delicious cuisine prepared by Chef Shalom Kadosh and the unique atmosphere, but also because of the staff's dedication, people who received special training and all speak good English.
The hotel lobby and 92 of its guest rooms have undergone renovations, and the lobby constitutes the focal meeting place for hotel guests, business people and other visitors.

The Jerusalem Plaza’s many facilities are able to seat a banquet of up to a 1000 people. Other facilities offered include an open-air swimming pool, health club and 24-hour room service.
The Sheraton Jerusalem Plaza Hotel offers a unique advantage to the many observant guests to be so close to the Kotel that one can walk to the wall, start Shabbat at the Kotel, and return to the hotel to enjoy a complete Shabbat dinner. This begins with lighting the Shabbat candles, Shabbat songs at your own pace, then the family blessings, washing, and continues with a complete Shabbat dinner. The dinner is served beautifully by waiters concerned that you get enough food to eat in a relaxing atmosphere the meal includes gefilte fish, soup, salad choice of entree, side dishes, dessert and tea or coffee. Blessings complete the meal and each table then had time to relax and have meaningful discussions.
The staff at the
Jerusalem Plaza help make the Shabbat meal special. They do a great job with all meals, be it the outstanding Israeli breakfast, or a dinner in the dining room. They even serve a delicious barbecue dinner on the enclosed patio just off the lobby.
The lobby is very comfortable with a large lounge in the rear half of the building. It is a good place to relax, meet people, and have a drink or a light snack.
Chemi Gur, makes certain the entire staff is well trained and helpful to make your stay at the
Jerusalem Plaza most enjoyable. They are skilled in assisting guests, directing them to shopping, touring or just relaxing at the hotel taking advantage of the swimming pool or health club, and the various kinds of stress reducing massages. They offer facilities to help keep the children busy enjoying their time at the hotel. Their Concierge’s Desk offers professional, efficient and personal service to all hotel guests, without them having to go through the hotel Reception desk. Gur promises his guests that “with the assistance of our experienced, professional staff, we can assure a high, international standard of hospitality, equal to that of the Sheraton hotels around the world, as well as the pleasant, warm atmosphere of

All the rooms offer TV, comfortable bathrooms, and a wonderful bed in which we enjoyed great night’s sleep and relaxing moments after touring most of the day.

Because of its location and Glatt Kosher status, many guests return annually for the Holidays, or for special occasions such as Bar Mitzvahs and Weddings, or even a business conference. This hotel fills a very special need, and is therefore very popular, keeping it close to full capacity year round.
The Sheraton Jerusalem Plaza boasts high occupancy during holidays where 95% of its guests are tourists. With its wonderful staff and outstanding location within the city, it is a perfect choice when visiting Jerusalem for any occasion and we would hope to return here in the future.
