1606 Lounge
|
The Rembrandt Hotel in fashionable Knightsbridge is on a busy yet surprisingly quiet street in an ideal location in the heart of London. Looking like a little gem it sits across the street from the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of Natural History and it is within walking distance of other museums and some of London’s most famous shopping including Harrods department store.
The Rembrandt is also close by the West End with its array of theatres, bars and restaurants. It was originally commissioned as luxury apartments for Harrods department store at the end of the 19th Century, today it still retains timeless traditional qualities interwoven with new and modern elements.
This is a perfect hotel for business and luxury travelers alike. Refurbishment of the reception and lobby areas began in August 2006 resulting in a modern space with ornate original features which reflects the décor of the rest of the hotel. The entrance to the hotel is now light and bright with a very contemporary feeling incorporating comfortable leather sofas and a fully equipped business desk with broadband internet access.

The old Lounge and Conservatory has been transformed into the sophisticated
1606 Lounge Bar, renamed to mark the birth of Rembrandt, with comfortable seating areas, ambient lighting, and an exciting bar menu incorporating an array of tempting cocktails, snacks or an afternoon tea served by the fire. The restaurant has been refurbished with new curtains and carpet and has aptly been renamed
Palette Restaurant. It is now a fresh and bright space serving buffet breakfast and a full Carvery, one of the last available in London which you can enjoy for lunch and dinner. An al a carte menu is also available.
