L’Oranger is equally lovely on the outside of the restaurant as it is inside, with an ideal location just a stone’s throw from St. James Park it also includes a serene courtyard inspired by “Belle Époque” and is perfect for outdoor summertime dining. There is also a private dining area located in the basement for up to thirty guests and a private dining room next door at O’Shea Gallery for small groups of up to sixteen guests.  The street level dining area and bar consist of classic aged oak, crisp white linens and a glass domed ceiling bringing about natural lighting in the daytime and dim lights at night.

While manager Eric Artieres has the special kind of enthusiasm that only someone who is in love with what he is doing can have. Eric effortlessly strolls around the restaurant from table to table, cracking a joke here and there and insuring that everything is running as smoothly as possible.

L’Oranger is more than a restaurant it is an institution with celebrated chef Laurent Michel at the helm bringing the merit of his three Michelin star background to the scene to offer up his brand of traditional Provencal French cuisine which consists of seasonal French fare executed to perfection.  While many other chefs elect to infuse their French fare with the tastes of other nationalities, Michel opts to keep traditional with classic French dishes such as rack of lamb served with tarbais beans, confit peppers and braised lettuce.  Another to delectable dish is the scallops cooked in the shell with steamed leeks and truffles served with a breathtaking jurançon sauce made to order at your table.  The wine list consists of the best French regional wines you can imagine for perfect pairing with your dinner.
