K West Hotel & Spa in Sheperds Bush
|
Eyes they say are the window to the soul. I say to really know something about a person, take a look at their hands or even better if you can get a peek at their toes. A well manicured hand and pedicured foot speak volumes about a person. It can be difficult when you are on vacation to keep those tips and toes sparkling. Lugging your bags around town and the dry airline cabin air can wreak a great manicure. So with this in mind the day after I arrived in London I headed to a hotspot I had heard about to check it out and to get my tootsies pampered.
I went to the
K Spa at the
K West Hotel & Spa in London's Sheperd Bush. The
K Spa has seven beautiful treatment rooms, with low lighting and limestone floors, against dark aubergine woodwork and sandblasted glass, as well as a Jacuzzi, saunas and eucalyptus steam rooms. After their treatment, guests will be led to the new, ultra-cool
RelaKs Zone, where they can sip fruit-flavoured water and listen to urban chill-out tunes.
K Spa is always at the forefront of the newest trends and developments and has just launched
‘Sun Meadow’, a totally new concept in healthy tanning. Developed by the German spa specialists, Klafs, the
Sun Meadow is a natural tanning and well-being treatment which perfectly prepares skin for the summer months.

So that guests can incorporate that wonderful feeling of fitness into their spa experience,
K Spa also has two gymnasiums, a yoga and aerobics studio, and an ultra-modern speed-biking room. It was also the first hotel in London to introduce the now famous Next Generation Power-Plate, which helps to tone up, lose weight and reduce cellulite.
In their
Vanity K nail room I was given the
K SPArkle Me Mani-Pedi where I enjoyed a glass of champagne while my feet soaked in a tub of warm water and the therapist then buffed, groomed and massaged them. She applied the color of my choice and then I was escorted to the nail table where my fingers and hands were treated to some additional pampering.

After my mani-pedi I relaxed in the lounge and then took a peek at their
RelaKs Zone, a beautiful serene space to relax after a few yummy spa treatments.
K Spa’s brand-new
RelaKs Zone is a silent room. Curved beds, dark-wood fittings, voile curtains and a calming water-feature give it a sleek and ultra-cool finish. There are six beds in total, with each bed being allocated to one of
K Spa’s six treatment rooms. The sixth bed is a double, corresponding to
K Spa’s double therapy suite. Guests who have a minimum of one hour of holistic treatments, such as a facial or massage, will be led to the RelaKs room after their treatment as part of their spa journey. Guests can stay for up to one hour, listening to urban chill-out tunes on individually located head phones, sipping fruit-flavoured water, and generally taking time out from hectic urban life.

It is definitely a winning idea and a gorgeous space to further the rejuvenating effects of
