SpaTerre: An Oasis from the Ordinary

If you're in the mood for the exotic, the unexpected, the enticing, spend an hour or two, or the day (if you can spare it) at Paradise Point's SpaTerre. The signature spa of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, SpaTerre blends ancient spa traditions, once reserved for royalty, with new and innovative treatments. Specializing in Thai body rituals and Balinese spa treatments, SpaTerre transports its guests to these magical lands.

Erin Allen, director of SpaTerre, said, 'We cater to the modern consumer, while keeping the old world aspect present.'

For example, in Bali, traditional brides would participate in a lavish spa ritual each day for 40 days before their wedding. SpaTerre recreates this ritual with its Javanese Lulur Royal Spa Treatment, allowing guests to experience this unique tradition for themselves. Using JAMU products, the treatment includes a luxurious Balinese massage with essential oil, an herbal exfoliation, a cool yogurt splash and a fragrant shower. This is followed by a soak in a traditional tub prepared with rose petals and tropical fragrances.

In the mood for a massage, inspired by rituals rooted closer to home? Try the Sacred Stone Massage, which draws on Native American tradition of heating river rocks in the earth. This massage begins by placing 52 rocks on the body's energy chakras. Then, stones are used to massage the body from left to right, with the natural flow of energy. The warm heat of the stones is transferred to the muscles with each stroke, loosening tension. Heavy warm stones sit in each palm and are rotated with new ones throughout the massage. This massage is a lovely combination of stone and handwork, promoting health and wellbeing for the mind, body and soul.

SpaTerre also offers more traditional treatments such as deep tissue massage as well as a variety of facials. Try the multi-layer facial, a nourishing and hydrating facial that uses thermo-active ingredients, leaving the skin smooth and glowing.

There are also a variety of special packages offered to couples, teens and even children. SpaTerre also has a full service beauty and nail salon, perfect wedding prepping and primping as many such events are held onsite at the resort's five romantic waterfront, garden-view or lagoon-overlook wedding sites.

On Friday, December 8, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., SpaTerre will hold an open house. This exciting event will feature a tour of the spa and the latest collection of Chi Lilli jewelry. From 5-6:00 p.m., there will be a 'happy hour,' where spa gift baskets and jewelry, both of which make great holiday gifts, will be available at 25 percent off. Complimentary appetizers and wine will be on hand.
